Triple Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Hi hi! Welcome or welcome back to my blog! Quarantine has meant I've had a lot of spare time on my hands resulting in a lot of baking. I used to bake all the time as a child so I thought it was time I shared a lot of old recipes with you in a little series. If you know me, you know my absolute favourite dessert is brownies so what better way to kick of this mini series with a triple chocolate brownies recipe!

150g (5oz) dark chocolate                                                                              3 eggs

125g (4oz) butter, at room temperature                                                          200g (7oz) caster sugar

75g (3oz) white chocolate                                                                              150g (5oz) self-raising flour

75g (3oz) milk chocolate                                                                                 1 teaspoon baking powder

1.    1. Set the oven to 180° C / 350° F / Gas Mark 4. Cut a piece of non-stick baking paper a little larger than the tin, then snip into the corners and press the paper into the tin.

2.    2. Cut the dark chocolate and butter into small pieces and either boil / microwave them until melted.

3.    3. Break the milk and white chocolate into small pieces.

4.    4. Whisk the eggs and sugar in the second bowl until thick and frothy.

5.    5. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture over the top and mix in. Sift the flour and baking powder over the top then fold in.

6.    6. Pour the mixture into a lined tin. Sprinkle the white and milk chocolate pieces over the top.

7.    7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is crusty and the centre still wobbles slightly. Leave to cool in the tin.

8.    8. Remove the paper and cut into 18 pieces. The brownies can be stored in an airtight tin for up to 2 days.
